Tree Fellers

Actually there were eight of them,
And they were planting a tree not felling it.

Mid morning two men arrived outside our office and lifted the flagstones, put up barriers, then drove off. Then 5 men arrived, dug a hole and stared at it. Then another chap arrived and supervised the tree position and left. This group then put soil in, had a tea break, and left. The original two blokes then came back and dropped off a wheelbarrow full of sand and some flagstones, had a fag, then left for the night, no doubt due back tomorrow to finish off.

At minimum wage I reckon it has so far cost over £300 to plant one tree... good job the council cut back in other less essential areas like libraries.
