Chummy is on a new mission.

Chummy has received a turquoise grade alert from N his commander that a pack of Russian mini submarines have been sighted in the Worksop Chesterfield Canal east of Retford.

" Get there immediately and report anything suspicious. " was the order.

Chummy put his Kayak in the water at Whit Sunday Pie Lock and paddled eastwards as dusk fell.

He got as far as the Gate Inn , a Canal hostelry from Georgian times , now a posh bistro .

He didn't see any submarines ( should have gone to specsavers ) but a narrow boat moored next to the pub caught his attention. It was called the Baltic.

This was no ordinary narrow boat, there was not a single flower painted on it's panels and there was no trace of any brightly painted kettles or coal scuttles.

He phoned N to report his find. " Yes it seems suspicious , N said but I'll put you on to OlgaOlga who has more information. "
Chummy was sure he heard the rustle of a duvet .

Chummy didn't know who she meant but started to climb onto the boat by clambering up the mooring ropes , commando fashion.

Two men in fur hats and big boots, drinking Vodka and throwing the glasses into the wood burning stove.It's very wasteful, they look like perfectly good glasses to me.

" It will release 30million liters of water in 20 minutes and the mother ship at the Gate Inn will be high and dry. "
