Trespassers will be photographing
... and disappointed and over-exposed
If you live by the sea and it's a nice day and you're responsible for organising your own time.........
Well you ditch everything and go for a walk and worry about the consequences later, don't you?
I've had a pleasant day.
Being a mixed up, flawed, stress-head who regularly gets headaches and doubts the reasons for her own existence means days like today are few and far between. I see the negative stuff first usually and even when something good happens I stand back as if I'm looking at the world's most beautiful painting wondering whether it's been hung straight and hone in on the defects. And then there are the rare days I know how lucky I am to be alive but I feel like I've woken up in the wrong body and I hurt.
So when I say, 'pleasant' I actually mean bloody brilliant - for me!
I managed a bit of yoga, some flute-playing and then a bit of casual trespassing with my camera in order to get a nice view of the sea and gorse from a field. Unfortunately I didn't take the still low-ish sun to my left into account and my shots are a bit washed out. Shame because the surf was good and the lines across the blue sea were lovely. Anyway, I squatted in the dunes like I was having a pee so I could take this shot and smiled at what taking photos has turned me into. (Thanks to the 4 OU buddies who I followed into blipfoto for turning me into a squatting, trespassing weirdo!)
I was happy to take part in this today: Flash 365. Calum Kerr's been writing a flash fiction every day for a year but realised this year is 366 not 365 days so asked a group of us to write special leap year flash fictions for today.
I've also had a few entries for my Flash: oo-arr anthology today too, and realised that organising things is never as simple as you think it will be.
I have worked hard on something else, too, today. I hope it will be worth it... It was certainly very lovely to watch the big orange ball, that was this evening's sun, throw amber light onto the wall as I was working this evening.
