Pretty Anarchy
A busy Daddy Day today that started with a surprise visit from the Water Board who suddenly seem to be showing an interest in my wet cellar again. This is lucky as the drainage company who were originally proactive now seem to be avoiding my calls, not speaking to insurance companies and sending letters to my neighbours that upset them.
As for Daddy Day we headed out to the shops. Early on we had a lucky find. Girl found a hide and seek Peppa Pig Teddy game and Boy found a toy skateboard. The skateboard is designed for toys to go on it, not children, but Boy was not prepared to be put off by this and so has spent the afternoon clutching his board or stepping on it.
We then took a trip to the library that ended with a debate with Boy who was not at all happy that he had to stop playing with the water tap in the toilet and decided to announce his displeasure to the whole reading room as we got our things together and left.
So we decided to embrace Boys new hobby and spent the last part of the afternoon at the skatepark watching the big boys race and jump about on their bikes, scooters and skateboards. Boy was in a trance with watching all the action, so much so he refused to leave. When we did eventually drag him away (still clutching his board) we were half way across the common when he escaped and tried to leg it back with his board. A quick pincer movement later and Girl and I had him cornered and then back in the buggy (under dispute) ready for a loud journey home.
