First Day on Board

A little bit strange picture this time. For us, a day like a lot of the same, but for this guy on the picture, a day he will probably remember for the rest of his life. I wish I had a picture of my first working day at sea, today exactly thirty-two and a half years ago. That's why I took this picture of him, while assisting with emptying a provisions container. Hopefully he will look back to this period the same as I do now at my first days at sea, because getting qualified and young personnel is a major problem in the shipping industry.
