Door to another world

When I was a little girl I LOVED the book The Secret Garden. I loved the idea of something wonderful lying beyond an almost forgotten door. I frequently go to Burghley House to the Gardens of Surprise and there is a lovely old door in a falling down wall and the children and I like to imagine what could be behind it.

This old stable door leads to an unused stable in our yard. The wood is a bit battered but the hinges are good and it was painted last year. I wonder what will happen with that stable over coming years. It's fun to imagine it housing a horse. Just don't tell The Farmer I said that.
