Pussy willow

Saw these yesterday, and it was only when I looked the photo that I realised how colourful they are. But the light wasn't great and the picture wasn't quite sharp.
So when the sun came out today - beautiful afternoon - and I had an appointment cancelled, it was back down for another attempt.
You can't always get what you want, but if you come back next day you might find you get what you need (to paraphrase the Stones).
Thanks for the comments, stars and fave for yesterday's blip. So why didn't I think much of it? Nothing against Mute swans, but I think if it had been a Whooper I'd have been delighted with it, even though it wouldn't have had the same seductive curve of the neck. But I just thought how many mute swan pictures does the world need?
