This is it!

Today for the third week running I've been to Bristol royal infirmary with my eldest daughter, she has for two years had a non extension on her little finger (it's always bent but she can straighten it by pushing it) now her ring finger is also doing the same thing so after one gp, one X-ray, one orthopaedic doctor at yeovil district hospital, one registra and one orthopaedic hand specialist weve finally ended up at the hand therapy rehabilitation unit at Bristol.

They've put Kayleigh in this cast for 6months , she can't write, play racket games, type with her right hand for this period of time. The only time this cast comes of is once every two hours for hand therapy which entails making a fist ten times, holding her knuckle in place and her trying to straighten the fingers ten times and ten times making a claw, otherwise it stays on.

Off to the school tomorrow to attempt putting some kinda of plan into place as to how to manage her school work as she's right handed SO frustrating.

Back again on 21st march to see senior therapist Fiona for a difference cast to b moulded.
