Staying Warm

As winter fades this robin has claimed our backyard as his very own.

We watch it catch and eat worms and chase other birds away.

It has become sort of a wild pet whom we look for every day.

I suspect he might be a "rooster" robin staking out his turf.

We had dusting of snow over night and fairly cold temperatures in the mid 20s F.

I had to smile when I noticed him all fluffed out this morning staying warm while waiting for the first rays of sunshine to find our back yard.
