California Dreaming

I awoke this morning at 4am and was restless. Angry that I could not fall back asleep, I went out to the balcony off my hotel room and this is what I witnessed. Immediately, the anger left my body with one big exhale. This view will bring peace to any turbulent mind. The colors reflecting on the water gave warmth to the cool air of the night. A few minutes later, I brewed a cup of coffee, sat in a chair and stared at the sight.

On my way back home tonight. Sand and sun to be replaced by slush and ice. Yet, family will give equal warmth and peace.

This was taken on the D7000 at ISO1600 without a tripod but with the benefit of a railing to support the lens. It is a bit noisy and the air was saturated but, I think, it is still fun. I blurred the edges with some silly app on the iPad before I uploaded. I was bored, I guess. It was a low mojo blip day, for sure.
