Red Letter Day

I was surprised and delighted to open my emails this morning to see an email from Pat Kane.

For those of you who don't know Pat (as I can now call my good friend, see below) he is the lead singer and one half of the popular beat combo known as and trading under "Hue & Cry", which was so influential amongst Scots of my generation. However, unlike many pop stars of that "hue", there was a longevity about Pat that led to a the continued success as a musician, writer and Rector of Glasgow University (and my admiration).

So I was very pleased to accept Pat's request to connect on KILTR, the social network for those with a Scottish connection. I wonder if Pat's a blipper?
