Sleeping Ladybird
This is the first of my lunchtime wildlife shots of 2012. It's quite early in the year so all of the ladybirds were sleepy and sitting still for me.
It's amazing what you can see when you look a bit closer. A couple of other people from work walked past me and thought it was very strange that I was staring at tree bark but by looking around I found three different sets of ladybirds hiding on the plants waiting for the spring sunshine.
Wish I'd have brought my tripod because although the ladybirds were sitting still my hands were still a bit wobbly for doing macro shots, but now I know where they're hiding I can hopefully have another go next week.
