I'm Going Slightly Mad!
Alfred E. Neuman, the face of Mad magazine.
First published in the mid-1950s and still going strong fifty ODD years later! I remember the 2 or 3 copies from the 60s that my dad had, I read them so many times, that if I'd chosen it as my specialist subject i'd've been champion, without doubt!
My favourite illustrator was Abraham Jaffee better known as Al Jaffee, who at the age of '90' is still a regular contributor and has been for 55 years!
I particularly liked his Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions and on the back page was the Fold-in, this was the Mad response to the Playboy and National Geographic and the like and their fold-out posters.
The Fold-in was a picture in a picture and I always found them very amusing! I'm not sure if a six year old gets satire but I was also a big Monty Python/ Ripping Yarns fan too!
Precocious, moi?
Anyway this is 40 years worth of MAD spread over 7 cd-roms also included is a MAD toilet roll! WHY? perhaps it's incase you laugh so much, you sh.. have an accident!
Oh! By the way, I haven't used it, yet!
