William Morris angel

On a walk beside the Quantocks with friends from Bristol we visited a church in Over Stowey with stained glass by William Morris and Burne-Jones. This angel is by William Morris.

Rossetti was probably right in suggesting that Morris was better at design and pattern than the human form, but the overall effect was good.
