The Boy

Ferguson has a number of Oliver Jeffers' books. Quite a few feature the little anonymous character simply called "boy".
Ferguson (as I'm sure many other children do!) thinks the boy is him.

In this instance, he was excitedly pointing to drawn version of himself running to the star that had fallen from the sky & washed up on the beach.
