Electrickery

Tonight I settled down to watch You've been framed and TV burp. Just as TV burp was about to start all the electrics went, well apart from the light circuit.

I went to the switch / fuse box and flicked one of the switches that looked like it was in the wrong position and it wouldn't stay there.

I couldn't ring anyone for help and advice as my phones had gone off at the same time and my mobile was dead and needed charging. I couldn't charge it as the electrics weren't working.

Tried using my ipad to find out about what to do when the switch won't stay flicked in the right position but couldn't find anything.

I used my old noodle and thought I'd try turning off appliances in case one of those was causing the problem and it was. It was my kettle wot did it.

The weird thing is I'd been thinking for a few weeks now about how I'd like to have a new kettle but wouldn't get one while the old one was working ok.
