Clean Up Australia Day

So got up this morning and it wasn't raining! Amazing I thought and got dressed to do some gardening..... got out there and noticed that there was a lot of activity up at the top of our garden! It was half of our street out cleaning up and down our street and they were mostly concentrating at the top of our garden which admittedly has become very over grown ( like our neighbours place but they were out there all day yesterday.... In the rain!) So I stopped working in our garden and went up to help the neighbours!

End result is we took just shy of a ton of green waste to the tip....all from the top of ours & our neighbours property!
We have a couple of less trees/weeds.....
A whole lot less creeping vines/brambles
A fully working storm drain that was totally blocked meaning all the rain water was flowing through our property and not around it!

Oh and some fire wood.... once it dries out!

We then had a BBQ in the street and met a load of neighbours we haven't met before, it was a really good day but very hard work! It was nice how all the neighbours chipped in on Clean up Australia day to help us out!

I am now very tired and sore..... oh and it's raining..... again!
