Mangroves

I was told that there were Spoonbills feeding at the small inlet by the reserve. Apparently they are frequent visitors here at this time of the year. Of course by the time I went down they had moved on, so here is a picture of some mangrove shoots.
I don't know how anything can grow in the muddy silt but they seem to thrive on it
