Buddha statues at Wat Yai Chaya Mongkol, a temple located in the old Thai capital of Ayutthaya, 70km north of Bangkok.

The long-standing rivals of the past, Burma/Myanmar, looted this place a couple of times, beheaded some stone buddhas and took away all the gold. As my company's accountant (serving as weekend travel guide - tnx!) told me the situation in Myanmar ist now all fxxxed up because they didn't honour Buddha properly - isn't that a severe case of bad karma :)
