Hello Donnie

A quick meander up and down the canal today, chilly though it was.

Saw some fisherman who were having no luck.
Quite a few walkers with dogs.
Quite a few walkers without dogs.
Several cyclists with muddy bums.
One cyclist with a muddy bum and a flat tyre.
And two ducks.

This is one of them.
Meet Donnie.


Also saw three ladies whose attire would have been quite suitable for tackling Snowdon... boots, full waterproofs, walking sticks, map, in a waterproof map holder, along with rucksacks.

Admittedly there are one or two tricky stretches on the Leeds Liverpool canal that can catch out the unwary, so there's nothing at all wrong with being prepared and the weather was indeed changeable today, going from sunshine to hail!

The last I saw of them they had pulled in at picnic table and were having a sit down, some sandwiches and a brew. Nice one, I say!
