Let There Be Light

Coming out of the theatre after rehearsal at just gone 5pm, there was the most amazing light - simultaneously very dark and very bright, making everything look newly washed. Large raindrops had just started to fall and Arundel Cathedral was silhouetted against the sky.

A couple of minutes after taking this photo, as I was driving around the roundabout at the bottom of the hill, a perfect rainbow arched over the town; one end of it rooted at the cathedral and the other disappearing south as if ending at the coast. I was desperate to stop and photograph it, but a police car was in the only layby, so I drove past.

Oh, and the first run of the entire play went well today.

As Evy says, "And you're going to sit there and tell me there's no God..."
