My First Quilt- some progress at last!

After much concentration and many, many, many mistakes, I've finished the patchwork bit of my quilt. It's far from perfect, but to say I had never used a sewing machine before I started this project, I couldn't care less and am ridiculously proud of my attempts...

I've wanted to own a patchwork quilt since I was a very little girl, and around Christmas time I read several books which had people quilting in them and I kept thinking "I wish I could do that". I saw a beautiful blip of someone's homemade quilt, and commented how lovely it was and how I wished I could make one. They replied and told me to try it- so I did. I can't remember who that blipper was, but I'm so grateful. I'm sure more talented and experienced sewers would point out it's many faults, but I don't care- I made it, I love it and I'm very excited even to have made it this far :)
