St. Mungo

If you are a regular in Glasgow city center you probably do yourself the disservice of keeping your eyes forward or toward the ground. If, however, you take the risk of looking like a tourist and look up you be surprised at some truly great architecture. This is a statue of St. Mungo on the Tron church steeple (now the Tron Theater). He is surrounded by symbols of his four miracles:

The Tree that never grew,
The Bird that never flew,
The Fish that never swam, and
The Bell that never rang.
