Focus On Imaging 2012

Today marked the day of the annual drive to Birmingham NEC for the biggest photography fair in Europe. All the big boys are there - Canon, Nikon, Manfrotto etc, and some incredible displays.

Steve and I have been about 5 times now and enjoy it more and more each year as we get more into our photography.

Today was no exception. We both really enjoyed it, even though it was stupidly busy.

Bought some goodies - replaced my broken 50mm lens, a gorilla pod travel tripod, flash soft boxes and other bits and pieces!

Best bit is the freebies though! Got a few pens, couple of good "carrier bags/cotton bags" I know it's a weakness but I can't help it!!

Managed to play around with the new Canon 5d mark 3 and the new 1d mark 4. Beauties. Hoping to upgrade this year, probably not to those though lol!!

All in all a successful trip and heading back there on Wednesday with the studio!!

This image was just sitting on our table waiting for its picture to be taken when we got home. For two reasons- after a day like today you can't help but be inspired, but also off to Paris soon and the writing reminded me of the sparkly Eiffel Tower at night - which just so happened to be the topic of conversation when I spotted it.

I love how you can get caught up in statements like this one.
