The End of the Season?

I've been trying to keep my poinsettias going, mostly because I hate to give up on anything that blooms...but this one had wilted beyond saving.

I put it outside, meaning to put it in the compost pile, but hadn't gotten to it before this gentle snow fell.

It gives the flower one last chance to glow.


Thank you to everyone for sending my "pair" of pine siskins to the spotlight! That is always such a treat for me, and makes me feel even more a part of this fantastic group of people.
