Escapee

Had this parrot, or is it a parakeet,(?) visit one of our bird feeders this morning. Could be it has only recently escaped, it was certainly hungry! This feeder is of plastic and it took no time at all for it to remove a couple of the meshes so it could get to the peanuts inside. The Blue and Coal Tits kept a safe distance while it fed. After about 10 minutes, and a good number of nuts, it flew away, where we couldn't see, but with sub zero nights forecast, the future does not look rosy for it.....
