Firey Tulips

This morning the tulips were shut tight. By the time the morning sun had warmed them, they had exploded open in a colourful bloom. The replacement roses arrived (in one piece) so my flat is now full of flowers. There's 19 tulips, 21 roses, a visiting Jasmine plant, a pot of mini daffodils and a couple of orchids in bloom. I've ran out of real vases and had to put the tulips in a pint glass.

We're off to a Comedy Club this evening as a late celebration of my birthday. It's been a long time since we last went but I'm really looking forward to it.
