Stump

One of the massive trees in the Beech avenue at Burnhervie, Aberdeenshire was blown down in the gales just before Christmas (2011), and its neighbour then had to be felled for everyone's safety.

Here we see the stump of the latter, as observed on my way home from work this afternoon.
