Robin Hood Country
Not exactly Sherwood Forest, but a flying visit to Nottingham provided an opportunity to sample a few hundred yards of the Nottingham and Beeston Canal in the morning sunshine.
From this stretch, Nottingham Castle can be seen towering above the city. The building in the foreground is Castle Court, originally built in 1894 as a warehouse for paper merchants Simons & Pickard.

I've only been to Nottingham a few times, once in 1989 to see REM on the Green Tour, but it's always nice to explore, even if it's a little bit at a time.
