He toured the world including twenty two trips to NORTH AMERICA. He got his knight hood for his charity work during the first world war. He was about to go on stage when he was told his only son[23] had been killed at POIZIERS FRANCE . He still went on to entertain the crowed. He later went on to write one his best song about his son
