Oak Beauty
I've mentioned before that I work with the Lancashire Moth recorder and he regularly produces little plastic pots with a captured moth or two for me to have a look at. He came up trumps over the weekend with this Oak Beauty. He Is having a bumper moth harvest at the moment with mild nights yielding good numbers. He usually has a catch of dull brown ones but this was cracker. Very difficult to shot with the macro in the bright sunlight at lunchtime. Enough light was needed to get a reasonably small aperture for good DOF but too bright washed out all the colours.
