Surprise Find

We visited Boothbay, Maine today. First stop was the Boothbay Railway Village, where we found this flower in a window box. I have no idea what type of flower this is, but of all the pictures I took today, this flower and its counterparts were the most stunning.

We also visited the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. After visiting the NY Botanical Gardens this past week, I was a bit disappointed since there was more green space than flowers. But we all know I am rather fond of flowers....
