The Beautiful San Miguel De Allende

Myself, Sandra, Gav & Louise headed to the town of San Miguel to show them a gorgeous example of colonial Mexico. A place truly deserving of it's World Heritage status.

Full of lovely, old architecture and a plethora of really fabulous restaurants. Somewhere, all visitors to Mexico should really go.

However, where there is an abundance of money and/or tourists there will also be an abundance of poor people struggling to barely get by.

Even though I gave her money and asked her 1st if I could take her (and her sleeping son's) photo, there was a forlorn weariness to the woman's demeanour that was utterly heartbreaking.

If the sight of real, abject poverty is something you can't bear or deal with, then Mexico is not the place to visit.
