more signs of spring

Despite the cold wind nature continues to 'spring' into action. I love it when these little leaves start to appear on this garden shrub.
They are extremely delicate and the light green against the brown of the stem stands out and makes it a pleasure to look at. These are the first signs of spring that I particularly love.
