who lived here?

The sun was shining and very inviting. I had time on my hands!! I decided to visit an area of the moors that I rarely acknowledge on my daily jaunts; the Backstone Beck Enclosure. Excavations show that the site was in use about 3000 years ago. The stone walls are partial reconstructions of the hut circles dating form the late Bronze Age (800 - 500BC). Whoever lived up here at 300m must have been very hardy! (The views are good though).
