Through the rain....

..... a shot of the 'white horse of Ben Ledi' as dusk falls.

I've lived in Callander for 26 years and I thought I knew all there is to know about the town, until today that is.

A native of the town told me today 'as long as the white horse is on the Ben there's a chance of snow in Callander'.

Not only had I never heard this saying before, I'd never seen the 'white horse' and this shot of Ben Ledi is taken from my back garden. Obviously it's taken blip to awaken me to what's in 'my own back yard'

There is another very true saying in Callander about Ben Ledi:

If you can't see Ben Ledi, it's raining
If you can see Ben Ledi, rain is on it's way!

.......... here's hoping this new one isn't so prophetic!

The white horse is of course a snow filled gully.
