All things me

Pride.

The thing I love most about Lick the Spoon is the way that ideas evolve and designs develop. Everyone can contribute, inspiration can come from anywhere.
Da boss decided today that we'd have a go at hand painted eggs as we've, quite frankly, been avoiding them. They're Di the Artist's gig.
She made us all do them though and we had great fun.
Let's say from the off that I'm crap at the painting stuff. If you look at Tina's blip, my painty one is the blue and yellow flowery one. I think Little One could have managed it tbh. With more time I'd improve but I have no natural flair like the others at LtS. Maths was my speciality in school, academic stuff, not sporty or arty.
As I get older I realise that a lot of that is because I have a really good eye and I'm pretty good at ideas (modesty out of the window for a mo.) I get extremely frustrated then that I can't achieve what I can see in my minds eye and therefore I dismiss what little I can achieve as not good enough.

Enough psychoanalysis for today.

Back to the original subject.

These little beauties came about because Tina commented that a paint brush was easier than a piping bag. Di went on to talk about techniques and how you could use either at which point I said "ooooh you could go a bit rene mackintosh and do both!"
A bit later I googled for images on my phone.
Then nagged a bit.
Then somehow ended up doing it myself which wasn't the plan. I was trying to cajole the artistic one!!
We discussed method, disagreed, agreed, considered, I might have ignored her a bit about one thing (paid off tho - phew!)

I LOVE it.

Gorgeous flowery eggs as seen on www.blipfoto.com/Tina (sorry, on phone, no linkies) available from lovely Lick the Spoon.
There is also a 6kg ENORMOUS version of this egg available (Di couldn't resist in!) for the bargain price of £295. It'll be in the Bath pop up soon and believe me, it is worth it!!
If you're the kind of person that has three hundred quid to spend on an Easter egg. They exist.
There's a big egg for £700+ in Harrods and it's not as pretty.

Sorry, that wasn't meant to sound like an advert, I'm just so proud of us!!!!!
