A load of Bull :-)

A trip down memory lane today when we visited a 70's exhibition in Leeds.

A teenagers bedroom complete with dressing table strewn with make-up. Miners, outdoor girl. Copy of Jackie magazine. Those were the days! No Donny posters though and you could still see the 70's wallpaper. No need for that in my room those days - Donny was much more decorative! I saw The Osmonds live on their 50th anniversary tour and he is wearing pretty well :-) (unlike most of his fans!) I used to spend Sunday tea time listening to the Top 40 - tape recorder at the ready to catch the latest hits - trying desperately to time it so 'stop' was pressed before the DJ cut in!

This radiogram brought back tons of memories. We had one in the very early seventies when I will only have been 8 or 9 so the only records were my Dad's. He was a jazz musician (trombone) so I remember listening to Kenny Ball a lot! That and a military band '78 when my 2 younger sisters and I would march round the room with our tin drums pretending to be soldiers! Happy days. Wasn't life simple then?!
