Shrove Tuesday

Or Pancake Day as it seems to be more commonly known these days.

It is obligatory now in our house to go the whole hog so I cooked Chicken and Mushrooms in cream and Ham in cheese sauce for savoury fillings. Transported these to Lauren and Tom's along with lots of fattening fillings for the dessert pancakes. I was told I couldn't use the Betty Crocker shake pancake mix and had to do this from scratch! It is always more luck than judgement but the mixture seems to be just right and coupled with Lauren's expert pan handling skills we had a proper feast!
Harry got a bit hot and bothered being so close to the heat which I reckon means she won't be going near a cooker for a while now - no change there then. Domestic Goddess she is not!

So home later with very full bellies feeling proper sick - just as it should be ;-)
