Nearly ripe . . .

It was a lovely bright sunny day today, but when the showers came, they were torrential. Thankfully this field of barley has stood up to the wind and rain of last night and the heavy showers of today. All in all it has been a good summer and this is ripening nicely, so I am reliably informed!

Thanks for everyone's kind comments yesterday - I didn't realise that it was a blip birthday until the congratulations came rolling in and my little red camera appeared! A super surprise! This community really does keep me going . . . . I love looking at everyone's photos and reading the entries. What a diverse and fascinating lot we are! Again, many thanks.
