Landslide Fence

The state put this fence up in an effort to catch rocks as they fall off the cliffs.
Of course, the cliffs are man made but without the "cut" the road would only be two lanes. I have seen the aftermath of a rockfall where these were installed. The fence was destoyed but the roadway was clear. Amazing engineering.
