Crossing the moor.

We (conrinthian column and I) braved the wind and showers to walk across the moor this afternoon. A smattering of hail as we set off but we stayed dry all the way despite these dark clouds you can see following us.

This is looking back to the moorland path we had just taken before we proceeded down to the hamlet of Ryecroft.

Not as obvious as elsewhere on the moor but the bright green is new growth on the bilberry bushes. We also saw frog spawn in the pool that gathers at the bottom of Deepcliffe.

We completed the walk through Ryecroft and down the road as the path through the fields is still saturated.
