It was a bit of a crazy day. It had been in the 50s over the weekend and Monday I woke up to fast falling snow with a couple of inches already on the ground. Since I was up early I decided to take pictures of the birds at Henricus before work. I thought the snow would make for some nice pictures, but it most of the snow had changed over to rain by the time I got there. My pictures didn't turn out very well because I did not take into account how overcast it was, so they are a bit dark. There were not a lot of birds left either.
When I left work you couldn't even tell it had snowed. The sun was out and their wasn't a trace of snow in the city. I stopped by the feed store to pick up a magazine that published an article I wrote (I've officially been published!). Then stopped by the barn. There was still a little snow left on the ground, but mostly it was just too wet to ride. I was standing in the house talking about the horses and then next thing you know it is sunny and hailing.
After doling out treats and scratches to the horses, I went by my parents house to pick up a cheesecake my mom made. Then it was off to happy hour for a little birthday celebration. We stayed and watched the VCU basketball game, which they won. Fun day, despite the snowy morning and crazy weather.
Happy birthday, PMO!
