Early Spring on Stong Pond

It is only March 7 but Stong Pond is full thawed (Again! Twice this winter.) and the Canada geese are returning to stop for a respite or to do a bit of breeding soon. There were around 200 in and around the pond. Most cannot be seen here for they were resting on the embankments to the left and right of this photo. It was a gorgeous, sunny, windy, and spring-like day with blue skies and a temperature of around 13C. Looks like the prognosticating rodent was correct this time.
