Me mam gave me this bulb for Christmas. It seems to be the only plant that grows healthily in this flat. Oh the aloe Vera does well, but its in the laundry cupboard cos it gets light. Every other plant has withered and retreated, despite love, nourishment and attention. Perhaps its time to try the treat em mean keep em keen approach. Make em fight for their existence.

My smugness and over exertion at the weekend hit home last night in wearyness. Still made it to Edinburgh Schools Jazz Band gig at the Queens Hall though. Not an event I would have normally noticed, but a friends son is a trombonist in the band and so I tootled along.
Man, they were fantastic.
