B-29 WWII Bomber.
This plane crashed, along with 13 brave men, on the Yorkshire Moors in 1948. It was landing at Manchester Airport when it hit the ground, unaware they were anywhere near it.
It was bitterly cold up there and quite a sad place, given that no-one survived. People still leave poppies and other memorials up there, despite it being very much off the beaten track.
This was part of one of the engine pistons (so my boyfriend Chris informed me). There was ALOT of wreckage...
