working music

I find working to music very useful, as long as it's the right kind of music: usually pretty simple stuff, mainly rock. Metal can be useful for really driven coding sessions but should be used with caution! Currently the Black Keys seems to be dominating the playlist.

I started working to music when I was a post-grad; I was in a large shared office and really needed to block out the noise of the other post-grads (usually playing office cricket having high-brow fluid-mechanics discussions or similar).
