In Staples Inn near Chancery Lane tube station. I'd come up to town to run through a job with Sam in one of the bars, make sure he understood what we were going to do.

Because of all the building work near the bar there's no parking so he was parked up near Clerkenwell Screws (a shop everyone should know - if they can't help with fixings no one can!) at the end of Hatton Garden.

I walked back with him towards the station and then diverted into this Inn - for a brief period each year it's the most glorious place. I blipped a shot of the same tree about this time last year through the secret gateway that takes you into their courtyard
