Happy International Women's Day!

It was a local holiday today and I thought about all those luckily enough to have the day off as I looked at heavy snow falling this morning. Luckily it did not settle and Baku was just very wet and muddy by the time I got home again in the evening. The weather is very strange at the moment - we've just had two gloriously sunny days in which it felt as though spring was around the corner, and then this morning it was back to heavy snow. I wonder what tomorrow holds in store?

I didn't feel inspired to take a photo near the office on the sunny days, so I was even less inspired today. Against the white blizzard and grey buildings the colour of this plant on the windowsill caught my attention. We used to have one of these on our balcony but the snow in November caught us unprepared and that plant (and many others) died.
