square that's not a square

part of a knitting project I am doing. knitting squares 6X6 and sending them to others around to the world who are also sending squares to me to eventually end up in a blanket. The squares I'm doing are turning out more like rectangles!! The design I am doing is the initial of the person I am sending it to :)
